Dog Training is not 'just a job' at Dog Training By Mandy. It is a constant up skilling experience to provide the best possible training and value for money by matching my accredited skills, with a deep passion for helping dogs and their owners to be the best they possibly can be.
I've always had animals in my life from being a very young girl, at the age of six I had my face ripped apart by a dog that was consistently beaten by its owner, but I was always brought up to realise that it’s never the dogs fault !! Dogs will be dogs and humans make them what they are… for lack of training and understanding.
My very early years owning my first dog that was a nightmare at the end of the lead lashing out and attacking everybody. I had to walk the dog late at night or early in the morning for fear that this dog would attack somebody . This then made me look into behavioural patterns, training techniques, breed specifics and so on, so yes, I’ve been on the other end of the lead with a poorly behaved dog and feel what owners feel. So the last 10 years of my life, I’ve done nothing but study and understand dogs behaviour and humans behaviour and consequently the massive impact that humans make on our canine friends which can be good and bad.
Whilst choosing the right trainer for you and your best friend, please remember to ensure the trainer is a time served knowledgable trainer using modern methods with correct insurance and accreditations. A poor trainer can compound any issues you may currently have thus creating bigger problems to work on down the line.
